The Daliborka tower at Prague Castle is known to most Czechs as a prison and the site of a well-known national legend. It tells the story of Dalibor of Kozojedy, a nobleman who was the tower’s first prisoner and earned the hearts of the locals through his violin playing. Other theories suggest there is a more sinister reason behind Dalibor’s association with the instrument.
