A shooting at an Ostrava hospital on Tuesday morning has claimed six victims and left two seriously injured. The perpetrator, a man about 180 centimeters tall and wearing a red jacket, remains at large. A photo of the suspect has been published. The shooting took place at around 7:00am in the trauma clinic of the University Hospital in Ostrava, and the victims reportedly died on the spot. Few other details have been confirmed. Police dispatched a Rapid Deployment Unit to the scene and evacuated the hospital. A police helicopter is patrolling the skies. The Ostrava hospital shooting is the second most tragic in the history of the Czech Republic. In February 2015, a man in a restaurant in Uherský Brod shot eight people before taking his own life.
