my name is Ivon, I am 24. I come from Slovakia and currently reside in Brno.
I am a student of Janacek Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno. I study acting and film directing. Recently I produced a trailer for a mysterious thriller which will be screened in cinema at the end of this month. The project itself involved
co-operation of ten countries (UK, France, Finland, Turkey, Latvia, Mexico, Poland, Slovakia, Czech Republic and Spain). To certain extent, the concept behind the plot resembles the Da Vinci's Code movie. For the ones interested, I can send some snaps from the trailer by email.
And here goes my appeal to you. At the moment we are preparing the shooting of a short film for film festivals in Europe and USA. Portraying a high profile kidnapping case, the film is based on a true story of a 5-year-old child, Madeleine McCann, UK, that went missing on a summer holiday she was spending with her parents.

Dear Expats,
Why should Prague have all the good food?
There are enough expats living and working in Brno to warrant something more than dried goods and wine! Last year, M & S Olympia, Brno doubled their floorspace, but did we get frozen food? A bakery? NO!
Please like this post if you want M & S to have a food hall in Brno!

We are going to add a little variety to this years Expats Meetups.
Firstly, in addition to the normal evenings, there will be an 'event', which will include activites such as bowling, theatre, etc.
Secondly, our list of usual haunts needs to be expanded a little. With this in mind, I would like your suggestions. Only 3 citeria need to be met:
1. It must be in the city centre, i.e. inside the ring-road
2. It must sell at least 3 beers on tap
3. It must serve food
Please post your suggestions here with a web address (if available).
As for the event nights, any suggestions welcome - except going to the pub :-D Brno Expats wrote: Many thanks to those who arrived for a very good evening :) I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did :) Jakob Chaplata wrote: Hi there, expats.
