AT&T at thecampus - Brno - Job Offer

Hi everyone, I have interviewed and received a job offer from AT&T Brno (campus location). I'm wondering if there is anyone here working for them? The role is as a CCNA engineer (as I am currently working on my CCNP). The salary is CZK 440000 gross per annum and I'm wondering is this a realistic salary to live on in Brno (my girlfriend will also be relocating with me and she does not have work ... yet). Any input would be grately appreciated! Thanks, iRock :) Hi everyone, I have interviewed and received a job offer from AT&T Brno (campus location). Sorry, I didn't see the per annum bit I thought it was 44,000Kc pm, Orange Blossom is right 25,000 net per month out of which you have to find your rent, food etc. is doable but it will be tight at the start.

Havin g said that I think the average Czech salary is still in the low 20,000s per month gross. If I'm wrong maybe somebody can correct me.

I don't work there but 44,000 gross is not a bad salary for Brno. You won't live like a king but you'll have enough to enjoy Brno life. See other postings here re AT&T, NSC Global or general living costs (15 questions for example). Good luck!

25-26,000 a month would be very tight. You're looking at about 7-9000 a month rent for basically a room, kitchen and bathroom, furnished, up to 15,000 for a two plus one, about 7000 for for food, about 400 a month for public transport, another 4-500 for mobile phone (unless you get free service from the job) 500 for internet access, so you would maybe, if you're parsimonious, have a few thousand crowns left over after bills. What is your girlfriends experience, can't she find a job here, because on that salary for two people, you would really struggle

440.000 gr per annum makes for about 25-26.000 net a month.. its a 1000 euros. Its going to be very tight for two im afraid.

1) That is the top salary you can get on 2nd level as a starter and is more than most guys got even with CCNPs and other stuff.
2) 25-26k netto should be enough to live a normal life for the two of you but without any savings
3) Flats are a bit cheaper in Bohunice/Liskov ec part of town where ATT is, my suggestion come and stay in a flat you get from your agency and hunt for a couple of months for a good offer and you can then bring your girl
4) start searching for jobs for her there are lots of 1st level positions open in different companies (jobs.cz)
5) Good luck on hitting a good team since its crazy right now in hours :)

Hi mate, I've also been offer a role at AT&T. I am also CCNA certified and I am preparing for my CCNP. I am hoping I will have the ROUTE exam done and completed by the 13th of March. My original start date was the 19th of March but I am working with the agency to get it pushed back to the 26th instead due to the fact I cant get to the airport.

I just noticed now this was posted in 2010. Could you tell me what life is like working for AT&T since this was posted about 2 years ago. Any tip and advice would be appreciated. Thanks

considering the money, when I see 25-26k for a 2nd lvl position I'm wondering why people take it??? This is a helpdesk salary, although I know people who got more... This is certainly a 1st level salary AT&T but it's going down. And yes, you will struggle. If you enjoy working with people who speak very poor English, kids or immigrants from the former soviet block mostly, and like to be underpaid then come. If you're gonna be an agency employee here you will not have your HR at the premisses. The czech agencies suck big time and this will get to you sooner or later. Maybe Natek is an exception. Here things like to change a lot. "Business driven by transformation" that's what they call it. If you'll be having shifts know that they may flip your life upside down and have any form. I came here a while ago and this is probably my last year here. Prices go up big time, salaries down. And anyone who accepts a 2nd lvl position for less than 35 000 - 40 000 is himself to blame...

People, if you keep accepting small money for your big qualifications, yes, CCNA is a unique qualification, you're basically spoiling the market for every employee and allow big companies to earn more on you. People on 1st lvl get 25k + bonus for shift work and paradoxically no one wants to go higher as money is worse. Who's to blame for that???
